ROLE PLAYERS

Practical based scenarios are an integral aspect of academy recruit training. Academy recruits participate in mock situations similar to what a law enforcement officer or deputy would face and are evaluated on their performance by experienced law enforcement professionals. The training is made possible by utilizing civilian role players acting in various roles to simulate criminal activity or victims of crimes. Role players are given instruction on how to interact with the recruits in order to make the scenario as realistic as possible.

If you are interested in assisting the academy by becoming a volunteer role player, please contact SaraAnn Bailey at sbailey@rrcja.org or (540) 371-2875.
